A bracha for my daughter as she begins her formal learning journey:
May you always be as curious as you are now, and find people who cultivate that curiosity.
May you meet each day with joy, and may you find comfort on the days when that joy is out of reach.
May you keep loving yourself, and may your teachers and classmates love you, just as you are.
May you learn to ask questions and respect differences. May you always feel, and be, safe, but not coddled, in both body and mind.
May you learn who you are and grow into who you want to be.
In this moment of precariousness and loss and darkness, may you and the rest of your generation find the security and light you need to grow and to blossom. May that growth lead to a brighter world, that you and your friends will create. And may it help you thrive.
May Hashem bless you and keep you. May Hashem shine His face onto you and be gracious to you. May Hashem turn His face onto you and give you peace.
Amen.
Beautiful, Rachel. Can't wait to see you in October.
What an extraordinary blessing - how blessed she is to have you as her mother
And what a great pic
